So, I'm back again with another slideshow! Paige's Bday party was great fun and she made out like a bandit with tons of great gifts (Thanks everyone!!)I can't wait to do it again next year!

On to the rush through the holidays: Turkey Day, Yule time, New Years, then Jeana's Bday arrives just in time for me to be so worn out from previous holidays that I'll probably forget to send out invites to her party. She'll be 6 this January; can you believe it?! They sure do grow up fast! It's hard to believe that by this time next year, Paige will be in pre-school and Jeana will be in 1st grade (although, I wouldn't be surprised if she even skipped a grade).

We just had our 1st parent-teacher conference with Mrs. VanAlstine - of course, she loves Jeana and finds Jeana to be exceptionally smart (we already KNEW that!!). She also said Jeana is a good friend to others and is very well-behaved, although she mentioned that she can be a little bossy with the boys sometimes. This doesn't surprise me; what surprises me is that none of other teachers have ever mentioned her bossiness (she even tries to boss US around!). Of course, we are very proud of our little smarty-pants!

Okay, so I'm a HUGE slacker! I haven't posted in a million years . . . well, a couple months, anyhow. I've been addicted to CafeMom, lately. Check me out:

So, what's new? Well, not a whole lot, I guess. I'm still working part time (only about8-12 hrs a week) at the animal hospital and chasing after Paige most of the time. Jeana has started Kindergarten and loves school, as usual. She is a little smarty-pants and her teacher adores her, as all her teachers have in the past.

Paige has (finally) come out of her "terrible twos" and is about as sweet and funny as can be. She has taken up her sister's love of princesses and dressing up. She loves to sing and HATES to take naps.

Soon, we'll have some more pics as Paige's birthday approaches (she'll soon be 3!!). We are planning another Halloween/Birthday costume party! We can't wait!!

We recently enjoyed AnnaLaura's 6th birthday party. It was a 2-part event (George missed the 1st part, I missed the 2nd part) encompassing 2 weekends. The first was a family party with presents and cake, while the second involved a trip to a local indoor mini-golf place:

Aaaaahhhhhhhhh, summer is finally upon us! The snow is finally gone and the windows are open! The girls can't wait until we get to stay at the cottage and are looking forward to seeing family that will, inevitably, come to visit.

The girls are as silly (and adorable) as ever and are growing so quickly!

Check out the fun we had at Kalkaska's Trout Festival! It was kinda cold and rainy that day, we we had fun anyhow!

Actually, I competed in their "Kalkaska Idol" karaoke contest. It was fun and I made it to all three rounds, ending in the top five, but didn't place. I hope to get a chance to redeem myself next year, though!!

Wow, I haven't posted in a while! Alot has changed so far this year:
I quit smoking on New Years Day which inspired me to make more changes in my life.
I quit my job to stay home with the girls, for the time being, at least;
I've been trying to cook and do so in with healthier foods.
I've even been learning about "green cleaning" with things like vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice (most cleaning products contain toxic chemicals)
George and I are also learning about herbs and herbal supplements to help keep us healthy.

So far, 2007 has been a year of change and improvement. Other things . . .we now have a guinea pig named Linny; I've been caught up in some DRAMA with George's mother and sister (I'm sure I'll be elaborating on this in the future.)

I am such a slacker! Here it is, the middle of February and I haven't even posted Xmas pics yet! They are very exciting as they showcase the wonders of the miracle of a GREEN CHRISTMAS! I know we've had them before, but it was so long ago that I do not recall one. In some places it may not be so amazing, but in Northern Michigan, it is VERY uncommon.

Halloween Birthday Bash

Paige had some friends and family over for a Halloween/Birthday Party for her 2nd Bday. We all had a blast and I'm so glad so many could make it! We sure had a full house; about 17 kids and 15 adults! George, Jeana, Paige, and I decided to dress up as some of the Gang from Scooby Doo, as you can see. If you can't guess, I'm Daphne, George is Shaggy, and Jeana and Paige are both Scooby Doo.

The next day was Halloween and, since the girls had some how come by several costumes, they decided to be something else for the big day.

New Camera

So, I just bought (with the help of my mother) a new camera. Actually I bought it a couple of weeks ago but when I finally got around to putting pictures up here, it stopped working! Today I exchanged it and retrieved some pictures.
I also put together a couple more slideshows: Our Trip to the Sand Dunes, and an album of The Girls. Enjoy!

Well, Paige will soon be two. My, how fast they grow! It seems that ske just turned one (see photo). Since her birthday is the day after Halloween, we gave her a costume party. Perhaps we will again. 1st Day of School

Well, Jeana just went back to pre-school (sorry, no photos of that, both cameras are busted) today. I think George was more nervous about it than she was, but everything went pretty smoothly. She (& Daddy) rode the bus for the first time! When can I sign Paige up for pre-school? I wonder if that would mellow her out - Jeana's teachers always said how sweet and helpful she was at school. Maybe Paige's teachers will go on about how calm and gentle she is :)

AnnaLaura just had her 5th birthday! I can't believe it! How quickly they grow. We had a great time at her Pirate Party!
My Grandpa just turned 88 (or 2 snowmen, as he tells me)! My mom made dinner for the occasion and my Anut Barb took this great picture. I'm not sure how we got Paige to stop moving, but I just miracles DO happen!

Well, it's all my mother's fault; she always wanted me to have a child just like me so I'd know what she had gone through. The curse is now complete. Jeana has an unending sass-mouth and Paige simply terrorizes the whole family (including our dogs, Delaney and Suzie). I thought I was having a tough time with Jeana, but then Paige came along, and now I know I had it easy. Paige, not quite 2, has been practicing for the "terrible 2's" since she turned 1 - she's very good at it. In this way, she's practically a prodigy.
Do all 2-year-olds kick, bite, pinch, hit, scream, throw food/tantrums/toys. These, though, I guess I expected. The worst is the bedtime battle. She doesn't throw fits about it, she just will not stay in her bed! I have to sit in a chair outside her bedroom door for about an hour every night. She comes out, I put her back. She comes out, I put her back. Over and over again. She doesn't cry; doesn't ask for anything, she just keeps on comin'. Help me Nanny 911!
